What is LockboxOnlinesm Unbankables?
LockboxOnlinesm Unbankables is an automated, Web-based exceptions processing enhancement to LockboxOnline that enables you and your customers to improve your accounts receivable efficiency. Users receive e-mail notifications and make same-day online decisions about their unbankable items (e.g., questionable payees, stale-dated items). When a decision is made to process a transaction, Fiserv completes processing by the end of the next business day.

How does
LockboxOnlinesm Unbankables work?
Fiserv picks up the mail and begins normal processing. Processors identify unbankable transactions and scan the exception items. Our system pulls in the identifying data and images, and pre-designated users receive an e-mail notifying them that an unbankable has been received.
 
Users access My Unbankables in LockboxOnline. A summary screen of their outstanding unbankables appears. Users drill down to a Detail screen or to a screen displaying images of their unbankables, make decisions to Process or Return the items, and type in specific instructions. A history of the users' decisions is displayed on LockboxOnline until the expiration deadline - 12 midnight CT on Day 3.
 
Users have until this expiration deadline to make decisions; processing is completed the next business day. However, if no decision is made by the expiration deadline, the item will be returned unprocessed. Images of items that are subsequently deposited are available via LockboxOnline.
